We aim to give our children a good grounding in life with:

  • a highly nutritious daily lunch and fruit breaks throughout the day
  • on-hand first-aid
  • treatment for epilepsy, hypertension, skin complaints and other easily-treatable health problems; more severe/chronic illnesses are referred to other medical organisations
  • encouragement and education in dental care and an annual dental trip to the East Meets West Dental Clinic in Danang
  • basic hygiene education
The socialisation of our children is an important part of our project. Many of these children have led lives isolated from their peers and their community. Several of them had rarely left the home before coming to our centre. We teach them appropriate behaviours with others, bring the world to them through lessons on history and geography, and introduce them to the world outside their doors with fun social trips.
